If you need support on a challenging issue happening in your life where you don’t want to be identified, we offer a free service to post anonymously on your behalf in the Mums of the Shire Community Facebook group.
With thousands of members in our online community, we receive a large number of anonymous post requests, so we do need to be selective about the posts we publish and we also suggest other options for support.
We will always post when the subject is sensitive in nature (for example, early pregnancy, mental illness, relationship issues), but not on non-sensitive subjects, such as “Where can I buy xyz?”.
We will not post any medical questions that can be answered by a discussion with your GP. If in doubt, always see a doctor. And we will not post anything political.
Search the group first!
Before submitting a request for an anonymous post, please use the ‘search’ function in the MOTS Facebook group. Many questions have already been asked before!
Ask a friend
If you’ve got a good friend who you trust, you could also ask them to post a question on your behalf.
Support Services
If you require counselling or other medical or health services, there are lots of great services listed in our Local Services Directory which may be able to assist.
Expectations
Anonymous posts will be processed from Monday – Friday between 9 am and 5 pm only (with the exception of urgent matters). We aim to post them within 24 – 48 hours of submission. If you need a post published urgently please consider asking a trusted friend to post on your behalf.
Verification
In order for us to verify that you are a genuine member of Mums of the Shire, you must use your real name and valid email address when submitting your question. If we are unable to ascertain that you are a member, we will not post the question. We reserve the right not to post if the topic is deemed not appropriate or where it breaches group rules. Please be assured that all posts are treated with discretion.
