Would you like to feature as our next local mum?

At Mums of the Shire we love to share the rich and varied daily lives of local mums. Your personal story is valued by our community and we know that these different personal perspectives from real-life mums in the Sutherland Shire can be helpful to others as they navigate the many demands of motherhood.

Through our Local Mum profile you can build a relationship with our audience, by sharing your funny, raw and/or cringeworthy mum moments, offering an insight into how you juggle family life, and giving your local tips on places to go and things to see and do.

We have compiled the below questions for you to answer to feature in our Local Mum profile. There is a variety of questions, so you can choose 15-20 which are most relevant to you. It’s completely fine to skip questions and/or add your own question(s) or any additional info you would like to share.

Remember the objective is to build a relationship with the reader and give them an insight into your life, and of course promote your business if that is something you would like to do. People buy from people, and if they feel like they know you, they are more likely to engage your business or service.

To keep it interesting, avoid one-word answers and elaborate on your responses, let us know why you like to visit a certain park, or why that café is good for kids. Personal stories and anecdotes are encouraged. Imagine you are talking to a friend.

Feel free to add information about your business in the ‘Work or SAHM’ section and include a link.

And finally, please supply a photograph of you with your family. (Please note our Feature images are all landscape so if you provide a portrait image we will need to crop it to landscape.)

We look forward to hearing from you and thanks for being part of the Mums of the Shire community!
