Hobart Place is a smaller-scale centre with a warm community feel. Most children move on to attend Illawong or Tharawal Public School together. They start school with the benefit of solid friendships formed at Hobart Place.

Our centre is close to Illawong Public School and Illawong Shopping Village.

In a beautiful bush setting, we love going on nature walks with Council’s Bushcare team to learn about our environment. This is an important feature of our curriculum.

Families value our picturesque and well-resourced ‘outdoor classroom’. The large playground has been recently renovated and features a sandpit, cubby house, teepee and mud kitchen for messy play. Climbing is a favourite activity here! Under our large shade structure, we engage in mobile play opportunities such as climbing and balancing to build motor skills and core strength.

The children are also avid gardeners and enjoy tending to our herb garden, veggie garden and compost bin. There are also quiet areas to relax.

Hobart Place's learning program reflects our Educators' talents. Our passions include sustainability, fitness and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, maths) learning. We're a culturally diverse team who enjoy sharing our heritage with the children.

Families enjoy regular insights into their children's learning via a safe and secure communication app called Educa. Educa allows families to view and share learning stories, photos and videos, and collaborate with Educators about their child’s development, from the comfort of their phone.

Our centre opens from 7am-6.15pm, 51 weeks of the year.

We provide an eco-friendly cloth nappy service to babies and toddlers, at no additional cost to parents.

All meals are supplied at our centre and are prepared fresh daily by our onsite cook.
