The children at Soldiers Road enjoy the Rolls Royce of playgrounds - one of the biggest and most well-resourced outdoor spaces ever seen in any childcare service.
Our playground is natural and picturesque. The children spend many hours outdoors exploring the vast environment which includes unique features such as a large sailing boat, two slides and structured musical equipment. If you have a child who loves being outside, is energetic and needs plenty of space to run and play, then Soldiers Road is an essential consideration on your childcare shopping list.
Soldiers Road is also smaller in scale - smaller numbers of children where we can meet their individual needs (school readiness preparation, learning needs, social skills support, toilet training - our team warmly supports parents with their child's specific requirements).
The team at Soldiers Road bring their individual talents and strengths to the service, creating a broad learning curriculum for the children. Our team has many years' experience in the early years sector and many are also long-term faces at Soldiers Road. Consistency in staffing is very important to us, the children and families. We have dedicated team members who cover Educators during time allocated for programming and leave days.
We provide children with an academic and life skills education program. We promote the development of language and literacy, numeracy, social and emotional skills, physical development and cognitive growth. Many parents want to see their child write their name and hear them count and our curriculum provides children with the platform to develop these types of skills, along with many others.
We enjoy a wonderful relationship with Jannali Public School. The children visit the Kindergarten classroom and library to participate in activities with the Kindergarten children. The children in our care also take their lunch boxes and enjoy lunch with the 'big kids' in the playground. These experiences develop a positive perspective of school and ease any anxieties among new school starters. We also enjoy the school's Easter Hat Parade and other community events. We also host ‘read to me’ days where school children visit Soldiers Road and read to the children.
Our centre families enjoy regular insights into their children's learning via a safe and secure communication app called Educa. Educa allows families to view and share learning stories, photos and videos, and collaborate with Educators about their child’s development, from the comfort of their phone.
Our centre opens from 7am-6.15pm, 51 weeks of the year.
We provides an eco-friendly cloth nappy service to babies and toddlers, at no additional cost to parents.
All meals are supplied at our centre and are prepared fresh daily by our onsite cook.
