There’s no glossing over it. While we have made progress in the fight for gender equality, the journey is far from over. International Women’s day is about celebrating the achievements of the previous year and continuing to inspire and motivate for years to come.

The aim of gender equality is to achieve both equal rights and opportunities regardless of gender. Building a world where women can reach their full potential continues to be at the core of our agenda. ShireWomen is at the forefront of making that happen.

Be inspired

Our keynote speaker, Clementine Ford has been in the trenches fighting for equality for decades. A vocal women’s rights activist, Ford has relentlessly fought to bring topics like misogyny, gender inequality and violence against women to the forefront of public debate and actively fights to make our world a better place. Ford is a highly successful author, columnist and public speaker. Most famously known for her bestselling books “Fight Like a Girl” and “Boys will be Boys”.

Ford will be sharing her expert insight into where we are with gender equality and what we still have yet to achieve. But most importantly, Ford will be sharing the small things that each of us can do in our everyday lives to bring about a more equal future #eachforequal.

Afterwards, Ford will be joining the event floor to mingle, take photos, sign books and continue sharing her insight into the ongoing fight for equality and answering any questions you may have.
