How It Works
The Fruit Cart delivers about 10 kilos of fresh produce straight to your doorstep every week or fortnight with about 17-20 varieties of seasonal fruit and veg. Produce is sourced fresh from Sydney Markets at Flemington ensuring lasting tasty produce.
The Fruit Cart is a third generation family business, with ties reaching back to the fresh produce industry for over 50 years. Simon, who runs the business, has worked at Paddy’s Markets, Flemington Markets and his own uncle’s fruit shop when he was 14. It is this deep knowledge of fresh produce that makes The Fruit Cart the trusted business it is today, servicing over 300 homes in the Shire and Inner West with only the tastiest and freshest produce – something our MOTS team can attest to!
Simon says, “We pride ourselves on our quality produce which not only tastes great but lasts ensuring no wastage. As a small family business our attention to providing a personal service is paramount as we believe this is something lacking in today’s environment.”
Delivery options and postcode areas
Current delivery areas range from Summer Hill to Sutherland (full list here) with expansion plans underway. But if you’re worried personal service will drop off as the customer base expands, worry not. The business is committed to maintaining that high level of personal service with a limit to ensure existing customers continue to receive the high level of service they are used to.
