The Cronulla store on Surf Road builds on the success of VENLA’s flagship Mosman store which opened in January 2021, followed by Bondi Junction in October 2021 and Balmain in July 2022. In addition to Cronulla, VENLA will also continue to extend its reach and impact in the fight against fashion waste with a location in Wentworth Street, Manly later this month.
Since the inception of its first store in early 2021, VENLA has spearheaded the reduction of fashion waste in Australia by providing an accessible and convenient platform for individuals to monetise their preloved fashion items. With over 60,000 fashion items recycled through its existing stores in Mosman, Balmain, and Bondi Junction, VENLA is committed to reshaping the fashion landscape and helping Shire locals be part of the change too.
Unlike other preloved stores, VENLA offers sellers a ‘rent-a-rack’ service which allows customers to purchase dedicated space in store to sell more of their items. Sellers are welcome to bring in any items as long as they are clean and in great condition. VENLA offers two different service options:
Self-Service: Rack rental for $245 for 14 days and 25% commission of sales. The seller prices the items on the VENLA platform and sets up their rack at the store. VENLA provides the hangers, price tags and access to the app to follow sales in real time. Sellers can top up their rack as items sell.
All-Inclusive: Rack rental for $245 and 50% commission of sales. Sellers can bring up to 60 items of clothing and 10 accessories to the shop; the VENLA team will price the items and top up the rack as needed.
