Our lives don’t stop just because the school term does! We parents have, more often than not, still got to get on with work, washing, and everything else we do to keep a household running smoothly. How will you keep your kids challenged and entertained this school holidays so that they don’t spend two weeks on screens or stuck to your side expecting you to provide the entertainment?
It may be cold outside, but there are plenty of interesting and engaging activities being hosted for kids indoors. If there’s a budding actor, fun-loving dancer, enthusiastic chef, mini muso or aspiring sports star among your children, there’s a school holiday activity they will love below!
Aevum Physiotherapy is proud to offer a range of fun and supportive school holiday classes that aid the development of children with special needs. For children who require regular and ongoing physio support, Aevum provides daily goal-oriented intensive classes, or one-on-one hydrotherapy sessions that will build core, arm and leg strength, and make things like hopping and jumping more achievable for your little one. These classes are offered every weekday morning during the school holidays.
Afternoon class options include:
Social dance: These classes are a great opportunity for your child to meet other kids while exercising. There will be a focus on games involving dance and music, along with some other fun activities.
Soccer/Ball skills: Children will develop ball skills, hand-eye coordination and agility through fun games that involve kicking and throwing. They’ll play a light soccer game and finish the class with a social activity like parachute games and dancing.
Bike riding: Whether your child is just starting out, learning to pedal, learning to ride without training wheels, or up to more advanced steering skills, this class is for everyone learning to ride a bike. The class will begin by breaking down components of riding, and then put it all together for a small group riding game. You can bring your own bike, or use Aevum’s training bikes and equipment.
Please note: These classes are for children with a disability, and they must be assessed by an Aevum Physiotherapist before attending classes.
