Summer’s almost here and we think kids have already spent quite enough time at home this year. Give them something to get them moving, off-screens and out of the house this summer school holidays and use the opportunity to do whatever the heck you want while they’re at it!
We’ve been in touch with the best local businesses offering school holiday activities in the Sutherland Shire and rounded up what’s on offer that your kids will love.

Kids Inspired
Kids Inspired is an Allied Health and Creative Learning Centre centrally located in Kirrawee.
With a focus on sewing, contemporary hand crafts and visual arts, they offer after school term classes, school holiday workshops, and their famous CreativiTea Parties.
During their School Holiday Workshops, kids learn techniques in hand or machine sewing and you are able to choose between a variety of creative projects over the December and January School Holiday period. No experience is necessary. All workshops are suitable for kids 6 years and up.
Full Day Workshops run 9:30am-4pm and are $80 for the day including all materials required.
Super Sports Camps
Super Sports Camps are all about optimising the happiness, physical abilities, and self-confidence of children through sport. Since 2014, hundreds of like-minded kids have formed our community where each child is encouraged to learn, support others, give every opportunity a go, and push themselves to reach their personal best.
Their school holiday sports camp coaches will keep your kids physically active and entertained so you can continue with your regular schedule during school holidays. So, if you are on the lookout for school holiday activities in the Sutherland Shire delivered in a safe and fun environment, join Super Sports Camps these summer holidays.
Boys and girls aged 6-13 years of all abilities are welcome!

KRS Dance – Frozen Disco
Come along and join Elsa for the KRS Frozen Disco! Take a break from the holiday chaos and keep the kids entertained and having fun.
There is lots of fun planned including:
- Cookie decorating
- Gift bag for each child
- Disco games
- Dancing
- Plus lots more
The workshop is being held on Wednesday 12 January, 10am – 11.30am.

This is a drop and go party. Parents are unable to stay but rest assured their staff will take very good care of your children.

Hilltop Swim Academy
Hilltop Swim Academy is offering full-day Holiday Camps including swimming, flippaball, soccer, dodgeball, crafts, games and all food and drink included on Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st December. Each day 8:30am – 4:30pm for only $70 per person per day!
Hilltop Swim Academy is also offering Intensive Swimming Lessons. Attending lessons every day of the week allows swimmers to improve and progress at a faster rate.
Week 1- Monday 10th January to Friday 14th January.
Week 2 – Monday 17th to Friday 21st January.
Cost is $85 per swimmer per week.
GLEE CLUB – Holiday Workshop
KRS Dance in Kirrawee is holding two-day holiday Glee Club workshops. Join them for Singing, Dancing, Acting and a whole lot of fun with Miss Grace. At the end of day two there will be a performance for parents to come along and watch. Miss Grace has been dancing and performing since age 3, she has starred in numerous plays and musicals including Wicked.
The workshop will take place on the 24th and 25th of January from 10am-3pm and is suitable for kids ages 6+.
Cost for two-day workshop is $150. Creative Kids Vouchers are accepted.

Shire Dance Workshops
The SHIRE DANCE WORKSHOP consists of two fabulous days of dance workshops for dancers 3 years and above.
World-class tutors and high-quality dance educators will lead camps that will inspire keen dancers and encourage beginners in a professional yet relaxed and friendly environment. These workshops have been running since 2010 and nurtured and inspired dancers all over Sydney.
Located in Kirrawee with incredible tutors ready to challenge, motivate and inspire budding dancers. They aim to be friendly, inclusive, fun, caring and connect like-minded dancers from all over greater Sydney.

The Bridal Bar – Little Glams Workshops
These popular school holiday workshops are a fabulous opportunity for kids of all ages to learn the ins and outs of makeup appropriate for their age.
Two workshops available: Little Glams (ages 5-9 yrs) and Tweens (ages 10-13 yrs)
Little Glams will spend an hour looking and feeling like little princess’, playing with and applying makeup under guidance of professional makeup artists!
Tweens will learn the basics of skincare, hygiene (and how to clean your makeup tools), colour matching, mineral powders vs liquid base as well as proper removal to allow your skin to breathe at night. This is the perfect introduction to makeup for your tween!

South Village Kids – Christmas Movie Nights
South Village will be turned into a full-blown festive frenzy with a special kids-only screening of Christmas Movies. Kids are encouraged to wear their wackiest Christmas shirt but also to bring a snuggly blanket or jacket in case it gets cold.
Tickets ($20 per child) include silent headphones, a comfy bean bag to relax in, childminding and a screening of a favourite Christmas movie.
